ricapitoliamo, che il mio portafogli piange:

HDR disponibile anche su PS4 liscia, a condizione di avere TV compatibile e di collegare la console direttamente alla TV, skippando la scatola VR.

Ieri sono uscite le patch di Infamous Second Son e First Light. Entrambi supportano HDR e da quanto dicono HDR e' ancora piu' impattante dei finti 4k allo spettatore dell'ultimo minuto.

When we announced PS4 Pro and the new slimmer PS4 last week, we also announced that all PlayStation 4 systems — back to the very first console sold in 2013 — would be HDR capable. After updating your system to version 4.00, you’ll see HDR settings in the Video Output Settings and be ready to enjoy HDR gaming and entertainment content once it’s available on any PS4 system you own. Of course, you’ll need an HDR compatible display as well.

Dai, questa è clamorosa.
L'HDR alla conferenza era un enorme specchietto per allodole.
Cioé, guardiamo in faccia alla realtà: sta PRO non serve proprio a una cippa.

E non sono favorevole alla pro, anzi.

Tutto questo inseguire i 4k prima del tempo farà solo danni. Mi verrebbe quasi da scommettere danni ai già claudicanti fps.
La prossima generazione sarà 4k ready, forse.

Ci vuole anche un cavo HDMI Premium (HDMI 2.0a) per veicolare l'HDR.

Non nativi. 1800p con checkerboard + HDR. Pare che girerà a 60fps anche su PS4 liscia. Onestamente da Yamauchi non mi aspettavo di più.

Sono solo io a interpretare che la stabilità è relativa alla risoluzione e non al framerate?
Altrimenti non avrebbero dovuto scrivere stable 1920x1080 resolution at stable 60fps?

ottimo a sapere che col vetusto 1.4 non vedrei niente.
Ancora meglio che su Amazon cavi HDMI 2.0 stanno a 6$. Che se l'esperienza e' un pacco almeno ho buttato solo 6 dollari

Premesso che tecnicamente non posso esprimermi per semplice ignoranza a riguardo...

va detto che questo articolo di Polygon ne parla veramente bene, e la cosa e' stata provata su PS4 liscia.

Nel frattempo ho ordinato il cavo. Ho First Light in attesa di essere provato su PS4 prima serie. Ho paura per quanto dici...ma continuo ugualmente ad incrociare le dita.

Come ho scritto sul topic di Ni Oh, anch'io sono sicuro si riferiscano alla risoluzione. Vogliono sottolineare che non utilizzano una risoluzione dinamica.

2.0 non basta per l'HDR.
Forse l'avevi già scritto e mi sfugge, ma hai un FullHD che supporta l'HDR oppure un 4K?

Ragion per cui dovrebbe prendere una PRO
