"Today in a press conference in Tokyo, Square Enix CEO Yoichi Wada answered questions about the company's online games (Dragon Quest and Final Fantasy). One of the biggest discussions was about Final Fantasy XIV's (still) ongoing issues. Wada said that because of this, "the Final Fantasy brand has been greatly damaged." He went on to mention the fixes that have been implemented throughout the year. "We'll continue with our reform work, which basically amounts to fully redoing the game, and hope to revive the FFXIV that should have been released."
Not to be left out, Dragon Quest X Online was mentioned too. Wada confirmed that, in regards to the future of the series, "We're not making them all online. We'll continue with a variety of developments, offline included." "
Insomma, Wada non si dimette.
Sakaguchi a quest'ora era già senza lavoro.
- Dragon Quest X avrà l'auto save, ma se volete salvare recandovi nelle solite cappelle, potete. Beeeeello.
- Nihon Falcom announced Eiyu Densetsu: Zero no Kiseki Full Voice Version [Legend of Heroes: Trail of Blue Full Voice Version] for PS Vita, the game will be coming in spring 2012. The game was released on PSP in September 2010, the PSV version will have full voiced dialog throughout the entire game.
- In the last couple of days, Nippon Ichi unveiled details on their newest RPG.
Majo to Hyakkihei (roughly translated to The Witch and the Hundred Soldiers) is in development for the PS3 and will be "a dark fantasy RPG with a seamless open world, a high degree of freedom, and dungeon RPG elements." Nippon Ichi actually semi-announced it back in August. The Witch and the Hundred Soldiers is being developed by Nippon Ichi's Prinny team. They've clarified that it will be an action RPG played from an overhead perspective. The development team confirmed the graphics will be 3D and that there will be a lot of blood, though they were quick to point out it won't be over-the-top. The monsters are all being designed in-house by the development team too.
